Before and after

The same words. A different section.

Three examples of what section by section actually means in practice, where the copy and the brand and the rest of the page all stayed exactly as they were and only the one section changed.

Straight answer before you scroll

These three are demonstrations rather than client work, and I've rebuilt the sections that go wrong on nearly every B2B site using the sort of content those sites actually have. The before versions aren't strawmen either, they're what a perfectly standard template gives you when somebody uses it properly.

When real client examples replace them, I'll say so plainly on this page.

Example one

The services list

Five services as bullet points, because a bulleted list is one of the four layouts the template offered and five services had to go somewhere. It tells a visitor what you sell without doing anything at all to make them want it.

Unified communications  ·  Mobile and IoT
  • Room for a reason. Each service gets a line explaining why it matters, which a bullet point can't hold.
  • Every card links onward. Five dead-end bullets became five routes deeper into the site.
  • A sixth service takes two minutes. Your team adds it themselves, in the same editor they write blog posts in.
Example two

The pricing page

Three packages described in three paragraphs, and nobody reads three paragraphs to work out which one they want, so they email to ask, or rather more often they don't bother.

Most clients of your size choose Professional.
  • Comparable at a glance. The question is never "what does Professional include?" — it's "what do I get for the extra £14?"
  • A recommendation. Buyers want to be told which one is normal. The old version made them guess.
  • Prices change without a developer. Every figure, tick and cross is a control your team can edit.
Example three

The testimonial

A quote in italics with a name underneath it, which proves somebody was pleased without saying what actually happened, and what happened is the only part your prospect is genuinely weighing up.

  • The result leads. The number is the headline and the quote supports it, rather than the other way round.
  • Three beats one. A single testimonial reads as the one happy client. Three reads as a pattern.
  • New wins go up the same week. Add a fourth in two minutes, instead of putting it on next quarter's list.
The offer

I'll rebuild one of yours. No charge.

Send me a page and I'll pick whichever section is doing the most damage, rebuild it properly and send you a mockup of how it could look, usually back with you inside a week.

There's nothing attached to it and no follow-up sequence waiting in the background, so if you like it then we talk about building it for real, and if you don't then you've lost an email and I've lost an evening.

The honest small print
One section
Not a page, not a site. I pick it unless you'd rather choose.
A mockup, not a build
You get an image of how it could look. Putting it on your site is the paid part.
Five at a time
This happens in evenings. When the queue is full, I'll tell you and give you a date.
Yours either way
Take the mockup to another developer if you want. It's genuinely free.

Which section would you pick?

If you already know the answer then that's the one to send me, and if you don't then send the page anyway and I'll tell you which one I'd pick.

Free · No obligation · Usually back within a week
